Figure in the Landscape:
In View of the Mountain
This series reflects a shift in my understanding of my place in the world, necessitated in part in response to the pandemic and recent climate related events. The works were developed with reference to the philosophy of the late Australian philosopher, Val Plumwood, whose work revealed and unraveled the inherent anthropocentrism of our relationship with nature.
The series was produced with support from the Regional Arts Development Fund, a partnership between the Queensland Government and Moreton Bay Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
